I was fortunate enough to be Nita's visiting teacher companion for almost three years. She was 81 years old when we started. I remember struggling at first because I didn't understand the expectations she had for her partner. I was praying about what I should do, if I should ask for a different partner. I received one of the strongest impressions I'd ever had. I was told with clarity that I should immediately stop complaining and figure out exactly what Nita needed me to do for her and do it. I was told that the Lord was very appreciative of her many years of faithfulness and service and that if I were to be so faithful then when I was 81 he'd expect the same for me. I learned so much from her in the coming years. How much she loved the temple. Her matter of fact faith that the Lord would take care of her and that her husband was still looking after her after his death. She quoted many scriptures often enough that they have stayed with me since. It was certainly my privilege to work with Nita and receive her quotes and hear here testimony. She taught a family home evening for our young family about the Book of Mormon and how she marked it to give to the people of Mexico. She was a remarkable woman and I was told personally how the Lord felt about her. What a joyful reunion she's had this week! I am so thankful to have known her. - Susan Major

I grew up living across the street from my "Grandma T." I got to see her almost every day. She would come over and have dinner with us and bring her crocheting and stay and watch tv with us for awhile. Every Saturday was Bobby and Sissy on the Laurence Welk show and Sunday night we watched Disney. Good times!

We are not able to attend Grandma's funeral because my daughter is too ill to travel. I know Grandma understands and loves us just the same. :-) I bet she is having such a grand reunion with her husband, parents, son, great-grandchildren and all those she loved during her 92 years on this earth. I can just feel the love. I'm so thankful for the gospel and that we know that there is more to come. This life is a stepping stone towards and eternity of love and happiness and growth.

I love you grandma and will miss you. God be with you til we meet again. - Nancy Jensen
