PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF

$1,195.00

Our basic service charge includes but is not limited to consultation with family and clergy, arrangement and direction of desired services, preparation and filing necessary certification, authorization, consents, and notices, twenty-four hour availability, other services and attendance prior to, during and following the funeral, including coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g., cemetery, crematory, and others. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for immediate burials, direct cremations, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

EMBALMING

$545.00

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as immediate burial or direct cremation.

Utah law requires embalming or refrigeration if the body is not buried or cremated in twenty-four hours. If a body is being taken out of state, being transported by common carrier, or died from communicable disease, it must be embalmed.
