Donna Marie BinghamNovember 24, 1930 ~ July 9, 2017 (age 86)
Donna Marie Bingham, age 86, has passed away to be reunited with her Father in Heaven and many members of her family. She passed away from natural causes on July 9, 2017 in Orem, Utah. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 24, 1930 to Joseph Spencer Lloyd and Carmen Neal Lloyd. She was the second oldest child out of 10 children.
She was married in 1948 at the age of 17 to Perry Gordon Bingham. She was married for 48 years and was widowed in 1993. She bore and raised four sons, Ken, Greg, Perry, and Spence; all of whom served LDS missions and married in the LDS Temple. She always wanted a daughter, but never had one. As a consolation, her husband and sons gave her a toddler size female doll named "Candy" that became part of the family for many years. Her need for a daughter was later satisfied by four daughters-in-law, eight granddaughters and nine great granddaughters. At the time of her passing, she had a total of 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Donna was a strong willed, independent woman being practically on her own at the age of 14. She had a strong, intelligent personality with a sense of compassion towards others. That, coupled with a great sense of humor and the ability to tell a good story, created scores of friends and attracted many to seek her help and advice. Her influence was felt in many of the places she resided in her lifetime, such as Idaho Falls, Idaho; Hingham, Massachusetts; Wenatchee, Washington; Castle Rock, Colorado; Ponce, Puerto Rico and Cedar Hills, Utah. She never hesitated to voice her opinion when it came to doctors, politicians or those in authority. Though not always changing their minds to her way of thinking, she usually won their respect.
Her passing is preceded in the death of her husband, one son, one granddaughter and four brothers; all of whom she was very anxious to be with again. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Although she is not with us any longer, her influence will continue to be felt.
