Harold Adair Baxter

June 25, 1928 ~ June 26, 2017 (age 89)

Harold, 89, of Ivins, UT, passed away on June 26, 2017 at his home.  He was born June 25, 1928 in Neola, UT to Marguerite Crozier and Harold A Baxter.  At 17, he joined the Navy and served during WWII aboard the USS Conyngham.

He then settled in Orem for many years and later moved to Ivins, UT.  Harold was a talented bricklayer, carpenter, and electrician who built 2 beautiful homes in Orem.  He started and ran Baxter Trucking for 25 years where, in addition to running the business, he performed most repairs on his own.  Harold's strong mechanical abilities enabled him to repair vehicles with any kind of trouble, often helping neighbors with repairs of all kinds.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons:  Alan, Randy and Paul;  2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 3 half sisters.  He is survived by 1 son:  Kerry Baxter (Robyn);  3 daughters:  Lana Baxter (Bonifacio), Sherry Baxter (Abraham), Shannon Quigley;  16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Orem City Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
