Gery Gagnon, 57, of Lehi passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009 after a lengthy and brave battle with a long-term illness. Gery was born April 15, 1952 in Greer, SC to Gerald H and Thelma Suggs Gagnon. He married Cynthia Lee Bingham and together had four children. They were later divorced. He married Paulina Jimenez on August 3, 2001 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Gery was a loving generous husband, father, friend and was an elegant and refined man. He was a member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings throughout his life. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1969-72 which included a tour in Vietnam. Gery worked at Provo City as the Systems Administrator at the Public Library and had a passion for technology. He retired in 2007. Gery was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Paulina of Lehi; four children: Damien (Jessa) Gagnon, Eagle Mt.; Heather (Kyle) Fullmer, Heber; Darrin (Adrienne) Gagnon, Heber; Jared (Holley) Gagnon, Salt Lake; five grandchildren: Mason, Kira, Keeley, Ellie, and Gabe. Gery has gone on to join his grandson Loki who recently passed away. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pilgrim Landing Third Ward Chapel, 3145 West Mayflower Ave., Lehi. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Veteran Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 72. Arrangements under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
