Betty Jeanne Huntington Smith

November 2, 1923 ~ December 20, 2009

Betty Jeanne Huntington Smith was born November 2^nd, 1923 and died December 20^th, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Smith, and her daughter Carol Lea Diamond Moosman, her parents and all of her siblings but Arthur, she is survived by two sons, Scott (Catherine) and Mark (ex Barbarajean) as well as her son-in-law, Rex Moosman. She has 16 grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren.

She lived most of her life in Spanish Fork, Utah where she was reared, and Pleasant Grove, Utah where she worked in the Smith Rexall Drug with her husband and extended family for over 40 years. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served for many years in the Relief Society and Primary. She enjoyed Family History, Name Extraction, and Temple Work. She enjoyed working in the PTA. She loved gardening, reading, and handicraft. She has bequeathed over 27 journals containing her personal history including a vivid account of life growing up in the Great Depression. She has spent her life in personal service, working tirelessly, and performing acts of kindness for which she will be fondly remembered.

Her funeral is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23^rd, 2009 in the Timpanogos Third Ward Chapel (400 East, 500 North Pleasant Grove, Utah). A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday before the funeral. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
