Jenny and Tiffany, We've been out of town, and just barely heard that your Dad passed away. We don't know how else to get in touch with you, but wanted you to know how much we loved and admired your Dad. It's hard to even think about your Dad without your mom, and I'm sure he is so happy to be back with her. The photo in the paper looks like him, but our memory of him is of he and Claire sitting on that Triumph motorcycle he had. At that time I think you two were only babies in a stroller. Our next memory is of your house in Orem, with Igor (was that your German Shepard's name) on the side, and cats on the front porch. Your mom and dad were such great examples to us of how to love each other, love their girls, and have enough love for almost all the other animals in the world. (I seem to remember there were a few dogs your dad wasn't too fond of.) We remember what a great example your Dad set when he was in the bishopric. We admired how he was committed 110% to do anything that was asked of him. Mostly, though, he was committed to you and your mom. We all knew how much he loved her, and how much he loved his girls. Our love and prayers are with you. We wished we could have met with you in person to tell you this, but we'll always remember both your mom and dad. We loved them. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you in any way. We live in Pleasant Grove at 1044 E., 1150 N., and still have our Orem phone number at 801 226-7651. Please call anytime. We love you - David and Vickie Ahlstrom |
