Nora Wallace Harris, 87, of Cedar Hills/Alpine passed away Friday, January 22, 2010. Prior to her passing, Nora resided in the River Meadows Assisted Living in Alpine where she was known as “Sunshine”. Nora was born July 24, 1922 in Delta, UT along with her twin sister Dora, to Albert Parson and Jane Waiora Bishop Wallace. She married Lawrence Wayne Harris and together had three children. Nora grew up in Delta and attended schools there. She spent most of her adult life in California and Georgia. Nora loved music and performed as a vocal soloist and in many choirs during her life. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings, including Ward Chorister wherever she lived. She taught early morning seminary while living in Hayward and Manteca, CA. Nora received a first place ribbon for her knitting at the California State Fair. She volunteered as a Pink Lady while living in Georgia. Nora was a loving person and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She is survived by her three children: Linda (Frans) Buytendorp, Oyster Bay, FL; Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Hills Bayhill Chapel, 10351 Bayhill Drive, Cedar Hills, UT where friends may call for a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
