Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Florence Marsden Holt, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the age of 91, after a long and courageous battle with multiple health problems. She was born on Dec. 21, 1918, in Parowan, Utah, to William and Della Davenport Marsden. She married Hyrum F. Holt September 24, 1948, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Florence had a love of music, family, friends and service. She was an accomplished pianist who loved many kinds of music, enjoyed performing and accompanying others, and served as ward organist in several wards. Her gift and legacy of music will be enjoyed by her posterity for generations.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings, including ordinance worker in the Provo Temple. She was a great example of love, kindness and charity.
She is survived by her four children: Marsha H. (Richard) Nelson, Charlene (Mack) McAllister, Carl H. (Ruth) Holt and Jeannine Parker, nine grand-children and three great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, sister and three grandchildren. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to all the loving care given by Bel Aire Assisted Living and Harmony Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2010, at 12:00 pm in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 S. 300 E., Pleasant Grove, Utah. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. | Was so sorry to hear of Aunt Florences Death.She was truly a beautiful person and such talent in the musice area. Our thoughts and prayers are sent to the whole family.
