Tio my friend!! I will not even try to say words that at this time will only be empty and give no comfort. For your loss holds a pain deeper then anyone can begin to imagine and I can only offer my friendship and a listening ear when you are ready. My heart breaks for you and your family and since I heard yesterday you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I tried relentlessly to get a number so i could call you but found nothing. please email me. If there is anything I can do please do not hesitate to ask.Nick was a great kid and I'm so glad I got the chance to know him. Much love your friend always Pam

I was heartsick when I heard the news. I'll always remember Nick fondly. He's the only child I had the privilege to teach twice. First in 3rd grade and again in 5th. I moved schools and so did he. Oh my gosh, he was a handful in 3rd grade but what a charmer. I think I remember that he was very into motocross. He was so cute it was hard to be upset at him for long. He had matured a lot by 5th grade. I remember going to Clear Creek with Nick (the outdoor educational camp)and Mr. Causey. They let the teachers borrow their waders for science in the creek. He loved outdoor activities. Nick was very organized, was a hard worker, and always did his homework. (He was still a charming non-stop talker.) I've tried to keep track of Nick over the years, mostly through Jaden, whom I also was lucky enough to get to teach. I hope he knew how much I loved him. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Marie Earl

I am deeply saddened to here of the loss of my first nephew. It is only for-shadowed by my heart felt sorrow for his parents Scott , Jen and Dan, his siblings nate, jaden and jennika, his grandparents and close family and friends. Nick was a great nephew, I always knew I was going to be a witness to something outrageous when I was around him and especially the three boys. I swear that the tv show "Malcolm n the Middle" was based on those boys to the tee:-) Please accept my deepest regret for the loss of Nick and I my unyielding love for the family...Uncle Jay
