|
On Tuesday, April 6, 2010, Shirley passed away with loved ones by her side, following a recent stroke.
Shirley was born January 26, 1938 in Minnesota. She moved with her family to Northern California where she met her sweetheart Joe Arthur Wright. They were married November 13. They moved to Utah and have resided in Lindon for the past 35 years where they raised their family.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she loved spending time with her family. She had tremendous faith in the Lord and served Him and her family continuously. The family looked forward to her holiday cooking and the laughs they all shared together. She enjoyed going “down south” with Joe during the winter months. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband Joe, her children, Shelly (Glendon) Ivie, Provo and Derek Wright, Cedar Hills; grandchildren, Samantha Lyn (Damon) Jordan, Provo; Ashlie (Stephen) Adam, Phoenix, AZ; Robin Wright and Gunner Wright, Pleasant Grove; sisters, Marian (Charles) Faust, Arcata, CA and Judy (Dan) Arzner, Medford, OR.
Services will be held Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lindon City Cemetery (by invitation only). There will be an open house following at Shirley and Joe’s home located at 719 East 215 North, Lindon, Utah at 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. for family and friends to come and join our celebration of Shirley’s life.

| Annette, Juanita and I want to express our condolences. It was a shock to the whole community to hear about Gary's passing. You certainly have the prayers and thoughts of many here. You and Gary have always been wonderful friends and examples to us. Gary was a mentor to me in the priesthood back in our early days in the Payette 1st ward, and I know you were always a very possitive influence on Nita. The memories are all very good - especially the warm and friendly smiles on your faces. We were certainly blessed to have friends like you and Gary at a time in our life when we really needed it. I know the Lord will bless you and your family; how wonderful it is to know of his eternal plan. Nita & I just want you to know we are thinking about you, and also want you to know of our love for you and Gary. Thank you for being important in our lives. Howard & Juanita Rynearson |
| Annette, Ron and I would like to express our deepest sympathy to you and your children at this time. What a sudden shock it was to hear about Gary's passing. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We miss you in our ward. When Ron and I go for our walks, we walk by your former home - and it brings back some happy memories. We pray you might find comfort in this trying time. With Love, Ron and Lisa Barras |

We are so sad to hear about the loss of our friend Shirley. We remember the many happy times we spent together. I remember a time when our church was doing dinners for the homless. We could always count on Shirley to make several large casseroles. We send our condolences to her family. Archie and Judy Williams |
