Shane Wes Hardy passed away Thursday at his home in Pleasant Grove.  Shane was born January 17, 1982 in Provo, Utah.  Raised in Orem, Shane grew up with a great love for outdoor activities and a passion for dirt bikes that he loved to share with his family and friends.   The sand dunes were Shane’s second home.  He also enjoyed the hobby of RC cars and taking care of his exotic pets.

Shane was a wonderful father who absolutely adored his children.  They were his whole world.  They will miss their Daddy and he will forever be in their hearts.  Shane is remembered for his lightheartedness and sense of humor.  Always the life of the party, his laugh and antics were infectious.  A loveable guy surrounded by many friends and family who admired him.  He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Chantel and two children: Tyler Wes and Jessica Marie all of Pleasant Grove; father, Randy Hardy of Orem; mother, Connie Hardy of Pleasant Grove; brothers: Kevin Hardy of Provo and Mike Hardy of Wisconsin.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Alma and Louise Larsen and Melba and Weston Hardy. 

Friends and family may attend a viewing for Shane on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to help with final expenses.

my son,my baby, i miss you so much. you were always so brave. always ready to try new things, never bored. i love you so much, an just want you to walk thru the door with a big grin on your face. an exciting stories to tell me. you always did your best to keep your kids safe, they were your world, i was looking at pictures of when your babies were born an you can feel the love you have for your kids. you taught your kids so many things. an they love an miss you. my heart is broken because i;ve lost you, but it still keeps breaking for your kids. they miss you so much.iam proud to have had you as my son. please be safe on those Dunes in the sky. Shane, I miss you so much! I cant believe its already been a month since you left! I just am still in shock that I cant see you everyday anymore. I hear the neighbors pull up on their motorcycle and I cant help but to think its you :( even though I know its not, it still makes me think of you.
