American Fork - Larry Lowe Sorenson, 70, passed away of natural causes at his home in Salt Lake City on May 12, 2010.  He was born in Glenwood, Utah on October 27, 1939 to Lyman and Juanita Dastrup Sorensen.

Larry found great success in his professional life.  He loved Europe and made many trips there.  He traveled the European countries extensively. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, LuJuana and brother, Wendell.  He is survived by his siblings: Chona Lee Heil, DonNetta Jorgensen, James (Gloria) Sorensen, LarSena (Lamont) Christensen, and Steven (Phyllis) Sorensen.

A gathering will be held for family and friends on Monday, May 17, 2010 from 10-10:45 am at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.  A short tribute will follow at the mortuary at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.

Christmas has passed and the passing of Larry haunts me to this day. He was my best friend and I did what I could to help with his condition. I do not think his family truly realizes what I did to pull him through his daily crisis. I do remember all the good times, especially our yearly visits to Utah to visit his family. They were the nicest people any family could have. I loved them all. It saddens me that there was one exception.........LaMont said the cruelest thing imaginable to me after I had spoken to two of Larry's Sisters. After I had been invited to visit the family again, he told me not to come out to visit and to never call them again! If Larry's immediate family will ever read this..........I love them all, and truly miss them.....I miss Larry very much and I miss his family...........I cannot forget the hatred in LaMonts voice and him hanging up on me when I call the last time.
