I was truly sorry to hear of the death of Uncle Larry. He was always so happy and friendly and I have happy memories of visiting the Mitchell family. I send my condolences and love to Aunt Helen and the rest of the family. I know Uncle Larry will be sorely missed.
I'm proud of Uncle Larry's patriotism and military support for his war effort. I admired him as a genuine gentleman of astute honor in the many roles he provided.
Uncle Larry often went to great lengths to provide help to my Mother or sisters when emergencies arose. I imagine everyone who knew him has some story they remember of him getting up in the middle of the night or making some other sacrifice to help someone in need, but I doubt any of us fully appreciate how much of this there is. He gave much, expected little and did it not for the praise or recognition of others, who rarely ever even knew about it!
Sorry we were unable to attend the Funeral. Larry was one of the the Great Men of this Planet. Always willing to go the extra mile and always there when needed. We will forever cherish our association with Larry, Helen and their wonderful family.
