| Rex and his wife Kathy were a wonderful influence and example to me growing up. They were both involved in the Young Womens program of our ward, and always made things so fun and entertaining. I still remember baking bread for the first time in Kathy's kitchen for an activity, and having Rex come home and "sample" (STEAL!) our efforts. Rex always had a grin on his face, and was great fun to be around. I also remember him making Girls Camp very interesting with his antics. I am so sorry to hear of his death, and my thoughts and prayers are with Kathy, his chilodren, and the rest of his family and friends. |

Dear Sister Walker, Not two weeks ago a teacher from my Institute passed away and I saw in his wife what I can only imagine you must feel at this time. I'm sorry for the temporaral separation of your eternal companion, but please don't forget - "it shall come to pass that those that die in me shall not taste of death, for it shall be sweet unto them." I saw peace and hope in the sister here who lost her husband, and I pray that you may remember the same. He will not leave you comfortless. |

Dear Kathie and family, We were so sorry to learn that the wonderful man who had the tragic accident on the Timpanogos trail was our daughter Cathy and her husband Steve Hill's best friend! We had not realized that when we read the newspaper. When Cathy told us we were so sad. We remembered them speaking of you and their family so many times, and the many trips they took with you, and the fun New Years' Eve "sleep-overs" to name a few. We were so grateful that Cathy and Steve were able to be with you for a little while during this time, when golden friendships mean so very much, and love can be shown in so many ways. Steve commented, "And now I realize I can't talk to him anymore!" May the Lord continue to bless all of you at this time. Our love, Cathy's parents. |
