I love you Aunt Max and will miss seeing you and just being around you. You always made me feel like I was the most beautiful perfect person that you had ever seen. It just felt good to be around you and I will miss that SO much. I will also miss seeing your beautiful smile and I just want you to know that we all think you ARE SO GORGEOUS! Love you! |
| I was so blessed to get to know Lela. I loved visiting her and cleaning her "spotless" house. She made me smile. I know she is having a great reunion on the other side. I give my love to the family. |

Dear Candland Family: We met your parents at Fairview Lakes and were privileged to work with them on the Board there. Both your parents are wonderful and will be missed so much. We so enjoyed having them at our cabin and visiting at theirs. Your Father was a wonderful cook and both of them made you feel so welcome and loved. It won't be the same there without them. Please know that everyone thought the world of them. We hope you will remember all the wonderful memories they left you and how much they loved you. They spoke often about all of you and how proud they were of their family. They left a great legacy and will be greatly missed. We were sorry we were out of town for the funeral. Love, Ron & Janet Jibson |

To Maxine and Bill Candland's family: We were so saddened to see the passing of Maxine. What an outstanding couple. We lived in Montpelier, Idaho from 1972 thru 1982 and knew Bill and Maxine. Maxine was one of the most outstanding teachers, and taught our daughter Kimberly in the First grade. Both were so gracious and kind. We know Bill passed away also. May we share a story: The Stake High Priest's were having a social on a small island in the Bear River near Nounan, Idaho, about 1980. We got into canoes, paddled to the island, and Bill would come out on his horse to pull the canoe onto the island so we would not get wet. I (Hope) was in the front of the canoe. For some reason, after Bill started to pull us in, the horse spooked, and reared straight up. It was tipping over backwards, and the direction was onto me and the canoe. I know Bill must have pulled the horse so it went to the right side of the canoe, falling totally onto Bill in the water. He said the water cushioned the impact - but I am sure he was sore. I know he saved me from injury. We moved from the Bear Lake Valley before they did - but kept updated for a while. What a grand heritage they left! |
| I'm deeply sadden to hear the news of Maxine's passing. I worked with and had the opportunity for my children to be taught by this remarkable women. She loved the people and the students she worked with. She deeply touched the lives of my children. I was out of town and unable to make the services. I loved Maxine and she will be deeply missed. |

Dear Lela, I have very good memories of you and your family while we all lived in Pleasant Grove. In a way it seems such a long time ago, but the memories are fresh. I live in Provo now and have a new, busy life. I pray that God will give you peace and comfort as you face the changes you life now demands. Sincerely, Bliss |
