Dear Duke Family - What a treasure the World has lost in Byron's passing. He was such a fantastic neighbor and a great example to so many folks that knew him. Our prayers are with you all. The chain of family and friendship is missing a huge link on this side, but what a reception there must be on the other side as that chain grows. May the choicest of blessings always be with you . . . |

Ruth and family, It was not possible for me to present my condolences to you in person. I hope you will accept these words. Memories of you and your family remain fixed in my mind and I can say that you were all good people. Pat and I talked about her remembrances of your family as well. I pray that all will go well for you now and in the future and you go through this change in your life. May the Lord bless you all. Fondly, Bliss |
| We were saddened to hear of Byron's passing. We loved him. John enjoyed home teaching Bryon and you. We loved being in your ward and just getting to know you. You both were always so loving and kind to us and we have never forgotten the many ways you have shown and expressed love. We thank you for your Christ-like examples. Though we have not been to visit, we have often talked about the two of you. Ruth, you are an angel. Taking care of your sweetheart for 61 years, what a blessing you have been to Byron and your family. We appreciate your warm smile and gentle embrace. Please know of our love for you and Byron and please express our deepest sympathy to your family. We will continue to keep you in our prayers. Forever in our hearts and minds, are you and Bryon. Love, John and Karen Dean |

Dear Ruth. We didn't know of Byrun's passing until I was looking for Colleen McCormick's obituary. We are so sorry for your loss. It's strange we live so close and yet so far apart. We send our love, Keith and Patricia Brereton |
