Shirley B. Seegmiller, 87, of Pleasant Grove passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 surrounded by her family. Shirley was born May 20, 1923 in Boulder, CO to Mark E. and Thelma Rea Berkhimer. She married Woodrow Adams Seegmiller on May 20, 1948 in Provo. Woody passed away in 1987.
Shirley had a great love for animals and worked at the Alpine Animal Hospital for almost 40 years. She was an LPN and retired from Utah Valley Hospital after 25 years of service. She loved collecting rocks, elephants, and stray animals. She was a huge fan of old movies, especially John Wayne and other action heroes.
She is survived by her two sons: Daniel Mark (Danielle) Seegmiller, Pleasant Grove; Scott A. (Jeannine) Seegmiller, Emery County; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Sheri R. Paisley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Mahogany First Ward Chapel, 1542 North 1300 West, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may attend a viewing at the church prior to services from 9-10:45 am. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.

| Sure sorry to hear about Shirley's passing. Such a great lady. I genuinely loved visting her and talking about her favorite actor and mine, John Wayne. She reminded me a lot of my own Grandma Shirley- both have strong personalities and a great love of family. My heart-felt condolances to all of her friends and family. |
