January 4, 1926 ~ June 30, 2010

Earl Thomas Roberts left this life on June 30, 2010 at the age of 84. He was born January 4, 1926 to Bryan Delance and Laura Ethelyn Taylor Roberts in Cedarview, Duchesne, Utah. He was the 3rd of 9 children. Earl married Evelyn Maxine Thompson on July 27, 1944. Evelyn passed away September 26, 2003. They were blessed with two sons, Lanny E. (Jo Anne Hyder) Roberts, Arven (Julia Winward) Roberts, and a daughter, Susan M. Roberts who passed away January 12, 1979. Earl and Evelyn raised Susan's son, Macon Roberts, as their own son.

Earl is survived by sisters; Pearl Jones, Leora Hampton, Meetta Young, Donnetta Ferguson, and Jane Fillmore; his sons and eight grandchildren; Frank (Shelly Spencer) Roberts, Sheri (Rob) Barnett, Natalie (Eric) Lowry, Mike Roberts, Laurie (JonPaul) Bruno, Ryan (Jaylin Stock) Roberts, Matt Roberts and Zeb Roberts.  Eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Additional survivors include brother-in-law Billy (Gaila) Thompson; sisters-in-law, Mary Roberts, Marie Thompson, Myrth Roberts and Donna Brown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters, Marvin, Verda, Roberta, and daughter, Susan.

The family would like to thank Superior Home Care and Hospice for the wonderful care they have provided to Earl for the past two years.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Timpanogos First Ward Chapel, 475 East 500 North in Pleasant Grove. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. before the funeral. I just read about Earl in the Uintah Basin Standard, sorry we didn't know about it sooner, we would have came to the funeral. Earl was always one of my favorites, he was a great guy. We well miss him, we know one day we well all see him again.

We sorrow at losing a loved one and feel joy at knowing they are with loved ones and not suffering the pains of mortality.
