Margaret Elizabeth Gunn Stoner

October 15, 1910 ~ December 24, 2008

Our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully December 24, 2008 in American Fork, Utah.  Margaret was born October 15, 1910 in Owego, New York to Carrie Elizabeth Keller and Henry Gunn.  She married Harold J. Stoner on August 14, 1937 in Rochester, New York and the marriage was soon after solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.  She had a charming laugh and fun sense of humor which endeared her to her grandchildren.  She was very dedicated to her family and church.  She helped strengthen the LDS church in the Rochester area beginning in the 1930’s through many callings in Relief Society and served with her husband in the Washington D.C., Toronto and Palmyra temples. She is survived by Harold, husband of 71 years; children; Janice, Roy (LaDeane) and Mark (Sharon); grandchildren; Darin (Jeri) Stoner; Tiffany (Michael) Drummond; Brock (Julie) Stoner; Brendan (Cheryl) Stoner; Ashley (Erik) Peterson and Graydon (Kristy) Stoner; 17 great grandchildren and three expected soon. The family wishes to thank the staff of Heritage Care Center and Alpha Omega Hospice and the Heritage Branch of the LDS church.  We also express appreciation to Ed and Joan Van Duzer and the New York Brockport Ward. A family service will be held and interment will be in Marion, New York. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com

Dear Family,

What an honor to be with you as you so lovingly cared for your mother. I knew I was standing on holy ground. Margaret must be so proud of her amazing family, a family that has already created a heaven on earth. My heart and prayers are with you.

Jimmy you are truely missed - I cannot see how life will ever be the same without you in it - the thought to never be able to talk you, hug you, see you again breaks my heart. I love you so much - and although I feel that I let you down in life, I hope you can now see that you have always been in my heart!
I love you little brother and miss you dearly!
