January 16, 1947 ~ December 24, 2008

Stephen Ovid Jeppson, 61, of Mt. Pleasant passed away December 24, 2008 from colon cancer in Delta, Utah.  He was born January 16, 1947 in Lehi, Utah to Ovid and Venice Bottomfield Jeppson.  He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1965 and from Provo Technical College in electronics.  Married Donna Slade, later divorced.  Married Aura Calkins, deceased.  Stephen lived in Colorado, California, St. George, and Mt. Pleasant.  Gifted in electronics, he worked for Martin-Marietta, Stellar Electronics and other companies.   Active in the LDS Church, he served a mission to the Gulf States.  Stephen was kind, gentle, and always willing to help others.  

He is survived by two daughters: Jennifer (Chris) Kelly and Jamy (Tyler) Bailey; five grandchildren; siblings: Lee (LaRae) Jeppson, WA; David (Jeanne) Jeppson, WA; Irene (Sherm) Carlson, WA; James (Nadine) Jeppson, South Jordan; preceded in death by parents.

A special thank you to all his many friends in Mt. Pleasant and for the special care given by Millard County Care Center. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in the Mt. Pleasant Second Ward Chapel, 295 South State Street, Mt. Pleasant where friends may call for a viewing one hour prior to services.  Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
