Rouvoe gracefully passed away January 13, 2010 at age 87 from too many birthdays. Born Feb 12, 1922 to Alma and Josephine DeFriez Collins in Roosevelt, Utah. Graduated from Roosevelt High School. Attended LDS Business College. Married George Trimble Salt Lake LDS Temple Nov 22, 1944. He died July 29, 1950. Married James R. Butterfield 21 Feb 1963. Later divorced. Rouvoe will be remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle kind spirit, being a peacemaker and woman of great faith. Her family was of most importance to her. She was widowed at a very young age and was left to raise 4 children on her own. We love her and are eternally grateful for the many sacrifices she made for us. Her motto was “take one day at a time”. Survived by children: Jay G. Trimble (Claudia), Dale A. Trimble (Sherry), Susan Paiser (Mike), Ilene Barrus (John), 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Kenneth Vearl Johnson, 58, of Provo passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 at his home. Ken was born January 16, 1951 in Provo to Vearl Samuel and Roene Curtis Johnson. He married Madeleine Claire Campbell on March 21, 1972. Claire passed away in 2003. Ken enjoyed working for Utah Pacific Bridge and Steel for over 35 years. Ken is survived by his two daughters: Jennifer (Bryce) Frandsen and Tiffany (Trek) Nielsen both of Eagle Mountain; four grandchildren: Colt, Seth, Madeleine and Kesler and sister, Judith Ann Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Jessica Ann Frandsen. Donald George Schaefer, 79, of Orem passed away January 9, 2010 of a sudden illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and teacher who will be greatly missed. Don was born August 1, 1930 in Portland, OR to John Henry and Elva Mae (Lewis) Schaefer. He grew up in Northern CA, then attended BYU where he met his sweetheart, Georgia Lea Bullock. They were married June 3, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. They spent their married years in Springville and Orem, UT. Together they enjoyed playing in the Utah Valley Symphony for 25 years with Don playing the trombone. Don taught band, strings and chorus in Spanish Fork and Springville schools. After receiving his second Master’s Degree, Don was the media specialist at Payson High School for 23 years. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Don served in various callings throughout his life, including a mission to West Germany. He also served as a senior missionary with Georgia in the Tokyo Shibuya Mission. Don is survived by his children, Mark (Laurie Clyde) Schaefer, Lehi; Marnae (Todd) Ballantyne, American Fork; David Schaefer, Mesa, AZ; Sharolyn (Mark) Wilkinson, Gilbert, AZ; 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Georgia, parents and brother Glen. Don will be remembered for his kind and gentle demeanor, his patience and his love of music. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sunset Heights Stake Center, 1260 S. 400 W., Orem. Lenore Delaine Brady Nielsen, 85, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 10, 2010. Lenore was born May 14, 1924 in Duchesne, Utah to Loren Edward and Phydonia Stott Brady. She married Glenn Christian Nielsen on November 24, 1947 in Pleasant Grove. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Glenn passed away in 2000. Lenore spent her early years in the Uintah Basin and later moved to Pleasant Grove with her family where she graduated from Pleasant Grove High. Lenore and Glenn were the proud parents of six sons and extremely proud parents of their only daughter. Lenore was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings during her life. Lenore and Glenn were avid scouting supporters, raising six Eagle Scouts and motivating many other boys in the Timpanogos Third Ward to achieve this honor. Lenore enjoyed camping, fishing, and year-round outings with her family. She looked forward to spring when she could plant her flower gardens and enjoyed working in her yard. She loved to crochet and her family and many others are the proud recipients of her talent and kind heart. Lenore is survived by seven children: Kenneth (Sylvia) Nielsen, Hilo, HI; Jim (Jackie) Nielsen, Highland; Michael (Trudy) Nielsen, Pleasant Grove; Gary Nielsen, Herriman; Mark Nielsen, Pleasant Grove; Jay Dee (Robin) Nielsen, Orem; Kathy (Max) Sessions, Pleasant Grove; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; brothers: Archie, Evan, and LaRoss Brady. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua; sister, Ellen Tregaskis and brother, Lester Brady. Our little angel Dawson Joseph Lindstrom was freed from the cares of this world Tuesday January 5, 2010 at 11:27 p.m. in the loving arms of his family. He was born with his twin sister on August 6, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and had many wonderful adventures living with his family in Jerome, Twin Falls, Bellevue, and Hailey, Idaho. Dawson’s life was, and is, full of purpose—for each to discover for themselves. After over 40 surgeries and 4 ½ years of service and sacrifice, he has now sealed his love, and has laid down his life for his friends—all of you. As much as we will miss his little kisses, we look forward to being reunited with him in the resurrection. He leaves his parents, Ryan Glen and Amy Kaye (Salisbury)Lindstrom, his favorite big brother Jakob Ryan, and his special twin sister Mallory Kayla to carry on his mission. Edward Kimball Corbett passed away peacefully on January 1, 2010, surrounded by his family. His death marks the end of a nine year battle with cancer. He endured his illness with faith and humility and was a great example to his family. Ed was born on January 21, 1938 to Don Cecil and Marion Young Kimball Corbett, the third of five children and the only son. He spent his growing-up years in Salt Lake City, Chicago, Denver, and Washington D.C. He attended BYU, where he met his wife, Julie Colvin. They were married in 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved his wife deeply and they were truly kindred spirits. Ed lived an exemplary life. He was a life-long, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the North German and Berlin Missions, and this was one of the highlights of his life. He loved serving in the church and served in many callings including bishop, high councilor, temple worker, missionary to the Laotian branch, and primary teacher. He especially enjoyed serving in the primary in the Dallas 4th ward with his sister Mary. Ed had a tender heart and was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joys were with his family. He loved being with his grandsons. He loved to travel with them and spend time with them. He was always concerned about them. It gave him great satisfaction to see them reach milestones in their lives. He also liked to play with them and to teach them. It was a wonderful experience for his family to hear him bear his testimony about the Savior this last Christmas morning. Ed enjoyed his career as a dentist. He practiced as long as his health permitted. He was lucky to have a wonderful office staff who made it a pleasure to go to work. He regarded them as a second family. Ed is preceded in death by his parents and by an infant daughter (Lisa) and son (Don). He is survived by his wife, Julie, his daughter Anne Marie (Mark) Eisele, his son Edward (Andrea), and seven grandsons: Mark, Drew, Matthew and Nathan Eisele; and David, Matthew and Luke Corbett. He is also survived by his sisters: Joanne Taylor, Mary (Jesse) Taylor, Julie (Dwaine) Goodwin, Catherine (Richard) Melchin and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lindon Stake Center, 1050 E, 100 N, Lindon, Utah. Dale Walter Hunter was the third son born to Dee and Virginia Hansen Hunter. He was born in the Provo Hospital and returned home to American Fork, Utah. He attended Forbes Elementary and graduated from American Fork High School in 1970. He attended the University of Utah for one year. He worked as a carpenter, apartment manager, and finally joined Global Coatings of Pleasant Grove where he worked for over 30 years and eventually became partner/manager. Dale married Mary Ann Searle and together had a son. They were later divorced. He married Julie Young and had four daughters. They were later divorced. He married Evelyn Conway Money. He is survived by his wife Evelyn; parents; two brothers: Steven (Connie) Hunter, Wyoming and Lynn (Diane) Hunter, American Fork; son, Chad (Juli) Hunter, Highland; four daughters: Meghann Allweiss, Mission Viejo, CA; Jessica (Brian) Wanlass, Highland; Shanna (Devin) Larsen, Orem; and Heather Hunter, Highland; seven grandchildren and numerous extended family. Also surviving him are his good friend and neighbor Carolyn Ruiz, life-time friend David Wagstaff and business associate Patti Kilpack and his dog, Buddy. Eugene (Geno) F. Credaroli passed away, Monday, Dec. 28, 2009. He was born March 22, 1938 in New York City to Eugene Credaroli and Marie M. Zhem. He married B. Eleene Baker in Norwalk, California. Gene loved camping and traveling by car and motor home to see the countryside and explore new areas of this and surrounding states. He loved custom cars, going to car shows and cars of the 50’s and 60’s era. He also loved riding his motorcycle and skimming across the water in our ski boat. He had fun square dancing for several years and helped out with the scouting program at church, he especially had fun helping with the Klondike derby. Gene served his country in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. He was a Master Tool Maker in the aircraft industry in California for many years. Before moving to Utah he worked on the first DC 10 airplane. He was employed at Geneva States Steel Pipe Mill before closing. He became a tool maker again at Teleflex Defense Systems in Spanish Fork until retirement. He also mentored at Auto Meter in Pleasant Grove. He is preceded in death by his parents. Gene is survived by his wife, Eleene, three children; Todd Credaroli, Michele (Frank) Erhart and Anthony (Tony) Credaroli; nine grandchildren, Aubrey and Austin Credaroli; Sarah, Erica, Amanda and Alicia Cobb; Dylan, Tanner and BrekynnLynn Credaroli. A viewing will be held, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the LDS Church located at 1200 North 800 East, Orem. Roy Dean Rowland, 76, of Pleasant Grove passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009. He was born June 1, 1933 in Orem to Roy and Margaret Skinner Rowland. He married Iris Maxine Housekeeper on October 1, 1955 in Provo. Dean grew up in Orem and attended school there. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Geneva Steel and Kennecott Copper as a Master Electrician and an Instrument Repairman and retired from both companies. Dean enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, rock hounding and especially spending time with his family. He was active in the Provo Elks Lodge #849 and served as Exalted Ruler. Dean coached youth sports in Pleasant Grove and served as Scout Master in Pleasant Grove Seventh Ward. Dean is survived by his four children: Debbie (Randy) Hansen, Salt Lake; Rick (Paula) Rowland, Orem; Carrie (Ed) Prewitt, Payson; Kent Rowland, Pleasant Grove; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Hatch, Betty Pawlowski, Evelyn Hilton and Gary Rowland. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine and infant daughter, Kathy. LaVern A Rhoades of Lindon passed away on the evening of Dec 25, 2009. LaVern was born Oct 27, 1918 to Carl A. and Estella Ivie Rhoades in Hanna Utah. He was raised in the Tabiona, Utah areas of Duchesne County. He graduated from Duchesne High School. After graduation, he moved to Provo where he worked and attended two semesters at Brigham Young University before being called up with the first draft from Provo into the U.S. Army. He served his country during World War II from the beginning to the end. He served in North Africa, Sicily, on Utah Beach during the invasion of Normandy. He was there during most of the major battles in Europe, and continued marching into Germany. He was in Germany when the peace treaties were signed. He married Helen Lucille Pate on Aug 6, 1948 in the Logan Temple. He supported his family by working for 35 years at Geneva Steel, and running a small family farm in Lindon. There was never a shortage of work to be done, and he was never bashful about doing it. His life was dedicated to the well being of his wife and family, and to his faith as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Besides the many other callings he held in the church, he and his sweetheartserved a mission on the reservations of South Dakota. He was always a hard reliable worker, and left every place he ever lived in better condition than he found it. He found great satisfaction and pleasure in working the family farm and in his woodworking projects. He was a great whistler and you would always find him whistling a tune as he worked. He truly appreciated the good friends and neighbors he had over the years. Lavern was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lucile Farr, stepmother Alice Rose, and a grandson Tyson Hepting. He is survived by his wife Helen Rhoades; children and their spouses Carl E. (Dusty) Rhoades, Mesa, AZ; Candice Rhoades American Fork; Kathrine Rhoades, Lindon; Peggy (Joseph) Thornton, Syracuse; Diane (Michael) Hepting, Lindon; Boyd (Peggy) Rhoades, Lindon; 25 (Michael) Hepting, Lindon; Boyd (Peggy) Rhoades, Lindon; 25 Grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend many thanks to friends and family who have helped in his care these last few months, especially to Harmony Health Care who have been of so much service.
