Bradley Dow BaxterJune 11, 1942 ~ November 4, 2017 (age 75)
Bradley D Baxter, 75, of Orem passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Brad was born June 11, 1942 in Salt Lake City to Clarence and Daisy Fern Madsen Baxter. He married Betty Frampton on February 23, 1963 in Pleasant Grove. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.
He grew up in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1960. Brad enlisted in the US Navy shortly after graduation. He served as an instructor at the nuclear reactor site in Arco, Idaho and later on the USS Jackson nuclear submarine based out of Guam. He then served in the Utah Army Reserve for 13 years for a total of 20 years of dedicated service.
Brad was a licensed pilot receiving his instructors license and enjoyed flying. He loved playing golf, fishing, hunting, and camping with family and friends.
Brad worked in sales at Sears for many years and owned three Big O Tires in Utah.
He is survived by his wife Betty and daughter, Katherine Baxter, Orem; three grandsons: Kyle C. Hansen, Chason W. Hansen and Gunner D. Johnson and his daughter and grandson were the light of his life. Additional survivors include siblings: Curt Baxter, Phoenix; Randy (Janet) Baxter, Phoenix and Bonnie (George) Staresinic, Las Vegas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Canyon View Fifth Ward Chapel, 1090 North 400 East, Orem. Family and friends may attend a viewing Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and also at the church on Thursday from 9:30-10:45 am prior to services.
