Floyd Clent Lewis born June 24, 1931 to Ardith Wright Lewis and Floyd Lewis in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Clent passed away February 8, 2018 after a long fight with heart and Parkinson’s diseases, complicated by pneumonia.
Clent married Colleen Knight September 21, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have been married 68 years. Together they had four children, 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Clent’s family was his most valuable treasure.
Clent was raised in Orem. He attended and graduated from Lincoln High School where he played football and ran track. He received several medals for track.
Clent received a degree in advanced business management and transportation. Clent worked for Max Factor in Hollywood as the Domestic Transportation Manager. He was later transferred to N. C. where he was a worldwide transportation manager until he retired.
After returning to Provo, Clent enjoyed driving school bus for Provo High School. He loved interacting with the students. For enjoyment and entertainment, Clent and Colleen enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and camping. They especially enjoyed nature and all of our beautiful canyons.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Knight Lewis and sons Ralph and Trent.
He is preceded in death by his son Craig Lewis and daughter Vickie Lewis
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9-10:45 am prior to services.
