Our beloved husband and father John Wayne Anderson, peacefully passed away on Friday March 23rd, 2018 surrounded by his family.
John was born, the youngest of three, in Taft, California to Thomas Raymond Anderson and Icey Lee Butler. He married the girl next door, Vibeke Schiller, and had two beautiful girls.
John had a strong work ethic, working as a Mechanical Designer for companies such as Lockheed, Edwards Air Force Base, and Avantek.
He had a kind infectious personality. He saw the good in everyone, and everyone loved him for this. He had many talents in life, such as poetry where he loved to make us laugh with his quick wit. Through his photography, he saw the beauty in almost everything. His favorite subjects being his sweetheart, flowers, and grandchildren. He loved to do ancestry work, where he learned that Thomas Jefferson was a distant cousin.
John was a great example of service. He served his county in the U. S. Coast Guard, his church, and his family. He was adored by all of his grandchildren, as he made each one of them feel like they were his favorite.
There wasn’t much our father didn’t enjoy. He had a passion for; art, fishing, woodwork, water skiing, fishing, the beach, teasing, working at the temple, and dancing with his sweetheart, just to name a few.
John will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Vibeke Anderson, his two Daughters, Eden (Todd) Griffiths and Jodie (John) Kiser, his grandchildren, Justin, Landon, Nicole, Camela, and Sierra, his great-grandchildren, Jude and Blakely, and his brother, Floyd Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Icey Anderson, and his sister, Faye Davenport.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 am in the LDS Grovecreek Chapel, 475 North 700 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a visitation from 10:00-10:45 am prior to services.
