Ken Eugene Tanner, 81, of Pleasant Grove passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 after complications from pneumonia. Ken was born February 7, 1938 in Sevier County, Utah to Orin and Lila May Olcott Tanner. He married the love of his life, Glenda Rae Adams on October 29, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Glenda passed away in 2002.
Ken grew up in Sevier and graduated from South Sevier High School. He was raised on the family farm in Sevier and had many fond memories of his childhood in rural Utah. Ken owned and operated Ken’s Radiator Repair in American Fork for 30 years, now known as Tanner’s Radiator Repair where Ken still worked everyday side by side with his son Dave. He enjoyed classic automobiles and working in his yard. The thing most important to Ken was his loving family.
He is survived by his five children: Geanie (Lynn) Matthews, Pleasant Grove; KayLyn (Grant) Stoddard, Albuquerque, NM; Teresa Tanner, Pleasant Grove; David (Stephanie) Tanner, Pleasant Grove and Michele (Matt) Evans, Eagle Mountain; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two siblings: John (Naomi) Tanner and Cleone (Jim) Schow. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Glenda; son, Frank Eugene Tanner; granddaughter, Lindsey Rae Stoddard; parents, Orin and Lila Tanner and seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Mt. Mahogany Sixth Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1541 North 1300 West, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00-10:45 am prior to funeral services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com
