Larry Arlin HuntsmanJune 10, 1949 ~ October 1, 2017 (age 68)
Larry Arlin Huntsman, 68, of Pleasant Grove passed away in a tragic accident in Croatia doing what he loved: traveling the world with the love of his life. Larry was born June 10, 1949 in Lehi, Utah, in the old Lehi Hospital to Cecil Laurence and Ruby June Mathews Huntsman. He married Patricia Ann Birrell on August 13, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Larry was very athletic his entire life. He lettered in baseball, wrestling, track, and football at Pleasant Grove High School where he graduated in 1967. He then attended Snow College on scholarship to play on the baseball, football, and wrestling teams. Later, he attended BYU where he graduated with a degree in Business Management.
Larry had a successful career in sales and was a Regional Manager for Staples International for several years. He was respected and loved by all who knew him.
Larry was an avid golfer, gardener, and traveler. He took great pride in his elaborate Christmas light displays and beautiful yard. Larry and Patti traveled all over the world with family and friends. He was a loving father and grandpa. If he wasn’t out on the golf course or working in his yard, you could find him doting on one or more of his grandchildren. One of his most favorite things was attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Larry was a devoted member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings during his life. He exemplified his testimony of the Savior through never ending service. He was always willing to help others in need without being asked or acknowledged for his selflessness.
He is survived by the love of his life Pat; four children: Natalie (Greg) Kelly; Brandon (Jeanette) Huntsman; Nicholas (Tara) Huntsman and Noelle (Jeremy) Pratt; 12 wonderful grandchildren: Alex (Derek) Jamieson, Brayden, Brynnley, Daxton, Brooklyn, Memphis, Corbin, Ryder, Sophie, Hudson, Stockton and Hallee; and sister-in-law Joyce Huntsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Blaine Huntsman.
Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
