Leone Ford Clark, 91, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully on Christmas night, December 25, 2019. Leone was born March 26, 1928 in the family home in Wallsburg, Utah. She married Merlin “Square” Weston Clark on December 14, 1945 in Wallsburg. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Leone grew up in Wallsburg and graduated from Wasatch High School. She and Square eventually made their home in Pleasant Grove where they raised their four children. Leone worked at Christensen’s Department Store on Main Street in Pleasant Grove and later at Radmalls Hardware. She also worked several years at Wasatch Bank on Main Street in Pleasant Grove.
Leone was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings during her life.
Leone was an avid bowler. She and Square made many close friends in the bowling leagues and clubs over the years. Leone was inducted into the Utah State Bowling Hall of Fame.
She is survived by her four children: Sharon Maxfield, Glenwood, UT; Karen (Bill) Morris, Payson; Ken (Julie) Clark, Orem and Brent Clark, Pleasant Grove; 13 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren and her sister, Mavis Horton and sister-in-law, Belva Ford. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Square; sister, Gwen and brother, Clark Ford; granddaughter, Amy Jackson; grandson, Hunter Syddall and two great grandchildren: Mya Fernandez and Nathan Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Timpanogos Stake Center, 790 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00 am to 10:45 am prior to funeral services.
