Marylyn Gardner Huff, 76, of Kearns, long-time resident of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2019. Marylyn was born June 4, 1943 in American Fork, Utah to Alton Ford and Katherine Ida Gleason Gardner. She married Lyle Wray Young and together had a daughter, Rhaelynn. They were later divorced. She married Jed Riley Huff Sr. and together had five children: Jed Riley, Mitzy June, Therisa Marie, John Ford, and Katherine Amie. They were later divorced.
Marylyn grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1961. Marylyn participated in a vocal quartet in high school. She worked for many years at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful. Marylyn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She especially enjoyed her time attending the Temple, doing family history, and servings as a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. Marylyn enjoyed long car rides in the canyon, attending the Shakespearian Festival with her sisters and nieces, and camping with family and friends.
She is survived by her five children: Rhaelynn Havili, Jed Riley Huff Jr., Mitzy June (Paul, deceased) Merrihew, Therisa Marie (Gary) Green, Katherine Amie Huff; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnne Longman and Lois Kleparek. Marylyn was preceded in death by her son, John Ford Huff and great granddaughter, Avery Havili.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 14, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kearns 8th Ward Chapel, 3730 West 6200 South, Taylorsville, Utah where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00-10:45 am prior to funeral services.
