Paul Dwight Kiser Jr, 91, of Pleasant Grove entered eternal life on March 15, 2018 while surrounded by his family. Paul will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Shirley, five children, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three siblings and an extended family of friends from every walk of life.
Paul was born in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts to Paul Dwight Kiser Sr and Margaret Kay Anderson. He was the oldest of four children and spent his childhood days playing touch football, baseball, ice hockey and fishing.
He met his sweetheart Shirley at the Methodist church and they married shortly thereafter. They enjoyed sixty-seven wonderful years of marriage, raising kids, building their own houses and moving around the country; every moment filled with love and adventure.
Paul had a colorful career. He started as a welder in the Boston Navy Yard. At age seventeen Paul enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and served two courageous years, participating in the battles at Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He was honorably discharged in 1946 as a corporal. After the war he became a TV repairman and had the first TV in the neighborhood. Eventually he got a job at Lockheed Aircraft testing missiles and worked there for over twenty-two years.
Paul was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by a co-worker and served faithfully for over fifty-two years. He had many interests throughout his life including gardening, ancestry and making new friends but family was always his main priority.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Kiser (Weaver); his children Alan Kiser, Barbara Hankenson, Diane (Mike) Rentillo, Debbie (Mike) Jensen, John (Jodie) Kiser; and his siblings Donald Kiser, Althea (Teddy) Guillotte, Robert Kiser.
