Darlene Ranae Bugden, 83, returned to be with her eternal companion on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Ranae was born October 17, 1934 in Park City, Utah to Walter Ray and Florence Emma Fausett.
Ranae spent her childhood years in Park City, Midway, Salt Lake City, and Pleasant Grove. She talked often of the many memories she had with her siblings and cousins.
She married her love William Arthur Bugden on July 4, 1958. They were sealed together on April 7, 1967 in the Salt Lake City temple.
Ranae loved being a wife and mother. She enjoyed doing things for her family. She was a wonderful cook, loved to quilt and sew and had a passion for reading.
Ranae was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived her beliefs fully. She served in many callings which she enjoyed. Playing the piano for the primary, doing genealogy extraction and working in the Mount Timpanogos Temple with her husband were her favorites. She loved serving others, especially her family.
She is survived by her children: Leslie (Kim) Pead, Bill (Darcie) Bugden, and Emma (Loren) MacLaren, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and her brothers Lonnie Fausett and Jeff Fausett. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, her son Michael and her grandson Benjamin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 10 – 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Midway City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Alpine Valley Care Center, for the special care they gave Ranae in the years she lived there preceding her passing.
