Our loving mother, Reva Mae Wall Perry, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 1, 2019 surrounded by loved ones on both sides of the veil. Reva was the youngest daughter of Angus and Blythe Wall. She was born in Coloniá Dublan, Mexico on May 17, 1930. She moved to Provo, Utah when she was nine years old and later met and married Dean Perry on 24 October 1947. They lived in Provo for 16 years before moving to Lindon where she lived for 57 years. Together they raised six children. She leaves behind a vibrant legacy of love and faith to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Reva was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a sports director, Primary president, Young Women president, and spent her last few years as the nursery grandma—a calling she truly loved. Reva also served as a temple worker in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple from August 1999 to September 2011 passing on a testimony of sacrifice, obedience, and miracles to her loved ones. Reva treasured her service in the temple and the many spiritual experiences that she had.
Reva lived a full life and pursued many hobbies. She spent summers in her garden tending and trimming her roses. She loved walking her neighborhood and, as she told it, would walk five miles every day. She pieced puzzles together and always welcomed help, though she would keep the last piece for herself. Not content to enjoy her hobbies by herself, she spent many hours sharing what she loved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anyone who came to visit knew that there would always be cookies in her cupboard and ice cream in the freezer. Perhaps what she was best known for was her sassy sarcasm and quick wit. She was a favorite among all who know her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, four brothers, one daughter-in-law, and her husband. She is survived by her children Lyle Coletti (Bob), Bud Perry (Diane), Bill Perry (Rose), Jim Perry (Wanda), Sandi Nelson (Pat), Shari Landis (Tim).
We offer our sincere gratitude to the memory care staff at Spring Gardens for their loving care toward our beloved mother and grandmother. Reva came to know and love the staff as if they were her own children.
