There is a hole in many a good brother and sisters heart as we contemplate the passing of our friend and brother, Robert Alfred Schoen. On the evening of Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Bob, 78, peacefully passed through the veil, thus graduating from this mortal probation and into the peaceful realm of the spirit world. We are confident Bob was greeted and hugged by many valiant individuals.
Not having the opportunity to have children in this life, and as an only child whose parents preceded him in death, Bob has for many years lived and associated with his brothers and sisters of the Pleasant Grove, Grove Creek 2nd Ward. For 18 years, while residing in Pleasant Grove, Bob was married to Jean Pfunder. They divorced in 1995. In recent months, incident to age, Bob lived at Heritage Care Center in American Fork, and at the time of his passing was living at Lake Ridge Senior Living in Orem.
Thank you to the many individuals, and professionals, who responded to and cared for this good man. Though you are too many to name and personally acknowledge, you are definitely remembered and appreciated.
Bob grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For many years he worked in the airline industry in Florida and California. Bob had a particular affinity for electronics, guns, and a multitude of mechanical functions. He could nearly anytime be found tinkering with any number of his homemade contraptions and creations. Bob had a wonderful musical ear, and absolutely adored his literal arsenal of electronic keyboards. Bob was always willing, and even eager to play anyone any tune they'd like to hear. I'll miss this.
Bob was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. To state that he endured to the end is reminiscent of the Doctrine of Christ. Well done, Bob.
A graveside service will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
