Brady Linebaugh

–

Pleasant Grove, Utah

We are devastated to announce the passing of Brady Carlton Linebaugh, age 35, of Lindon, Utah after a tragic accident on May 14th, 2026

Brady Linebaugh was an individual of a rare and exceptional nature. He had a kind and immaculate heart. Empathetic, witty, clever, creative, and a dedicated vegetarian, he was a person of keen integrity. He loved animals, and carried with him an air of effortless whimsy that bewitched and mesmerized. He reminded those around him to honor their own truths, as he modeled his inherently.

Brady was born on May 25th, 1990 in American Fork, Utah to loving parents Carl and Kathy Linebaugh. By Brady's own account, his parents provided him with an idyllic childhood. Some of his most cherished early memories took place playing in a stream surrounded by a grove of Cottonwood trees behind his family home. He also had vivid memories of sitting on the floor of the original Taco Amigo location in Pleasant Grove, where he would watch his parents and their co-workers run the thriving fast-mexican-food empire his family had built from the ground up. He did have a bit of a rebellious streak, and in his later childhood once wrote on a school questionnaire that his favorite restaurant was Taco Time rather than Taco Amigo, which understandably caused quite a scandal at home.

Brady was the middle child between two siblings, Kody and Shay. Kody, just two years Brady's senior, was nothing short of his best friend. Shay, the youngest, was at times less enthusiastic about Brady due to the classical teasing of an older brother. However, with time, Brady and Shay also grew to share a relationship of tremendous affection. Brady cherished his family, and always made every effort to be present for them.

As Brady entered adolescence, he took a shine to riding dirt bikes with his father and other family members and friends. Although he had a passionate aversion to most sports, he came to deeply love motorbiking and the way it calmed his busy mind. His skills excelled to the point where he was capable of confidently riding a Supercross track, which was one of his proudest accomplishments at that point in his life.

During this time, Brady developed a taste for classic rock bands such as Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Especially Pink Floyd. He did not like Queen. In his youth he began learning to play guitar, taught by his family friend, Turnbow. He was also known to play piano and bass guitar. Though he would never say it, Brady was a natural musician, singer and songwriter. He loved to spend time playing music with his friends and family.

Brady met the love of his life, the formidable and enchanting Rosie Chlarson through his cousin and dear friend, Parker Lichfield in 2008. Brady was just seventeen, and Rose eighteen. It took some time for him to draw Rosie away from the crowd of other boys by which she was constantly surrounded, but once he succeeded, the two became practically inseparable. They proceeded to spend the next year traveling back and forth from Utah County, where Brady lived, to North Ogden, where Rosie resided, desperate to spend as much time together as possible.

Brady graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2008. A deeply unconventional soul, he was not particularly drawn to the rigid structure of higher education. He worked as a machinist from age 16-21, and through this experience learned that he had a penchant for working with his hands. This lended well to his next occupation where he began working alongside Rosie at his aunt Janet's company, Jewelkade, in 2011. It was here that he first encountered Benjamin Hess, who became an extraordinary friend to Brady.

Rosie and Brady were engaged on Brady's birthday, May 25th, 2011. It was important to him that he at least be twenty-one before he got married, which occurred swiftly thereafter on August 26th, 2011 in Salt Lake City. The couple then purchased their first home in American Fork, Utah, and adopted two Bernese Mountain dogs named Molly and Mose - the other loves of Brady's life. Brady continued working for Jewelkade while supporting Rosie as she pursued her personal dream of getting a degree in Biology and becoming a teacher.

On July 10th, 2019, Rosie had their first and only child, Georgie Samuel Linebaugh, named after Rosie's grandad. Brady grew into a most present and nurturing father. When asked about his parent's occupations in school, Georgie stated that his mom was an Artist, and his dad? "A Wizard." Brady loved his son immensely and worked hard every day to add as much magic to Georgie's life as possible. The two were thick as thieves.

You could often find Brady on long hikes with his beloved dog, Pepper, rain or shine, picking sagebrush along the way. He enjoyed whimsical stories, playing chess, and a good intellectual debate. He found deep satisfaction in being of help and support to those around him. This trait enabled him to play an essential role in growing and maintaining the development of Rosie's stained glass business. Linebaugh Studios currently holds a charming space on the Historic Main Street of Pleasant Grove, a place for which Brady held a particular fondness.

Brady's presence elevated everything he was a part of, and his absence will be felt tremendously by the many who loved him. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Rosie, his son Georgie, his parents: Carl and Kathy, his siblings: Shay and Kody, and his grandmothers: Carol and Deanne.

Brady's viewing will be open to the public Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah. This will be followed by a private family funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
