Brad Wade Walker, 59, of Orem passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2021 at his home. Brad was born October 13, 1961 in American Fork to Mack and Velma Walker. He married Gerri Gatenby, the love of his life, on June 25, 1983 in Provo, Utah.
Brad grew up in Lindon and attended schools there. He also attended Pleasant Grove Jr High and High School. Brad worked many construction jobs as a young man and eventually found his home working for Bill Harper at Harper Concrete in Draper for 30+ years. Brad eventually started his own business with his son Jayce, Railspike Concrete, in April 2019.
Brad loved hunting, fishing and anything in the outdoors. He loved to race dirt bikes in the foothills of Lindon with his cousin and friends. He and Bryce were “hell on wheels”. Brad was an avid Utah Jazz fan and looked forward to each game. He had a love for animals and some would say his home was a special place for the wayward. He loved life and always had a twinkle in his eye and shit-eating grin. His greatest joy in life was his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife Gerri of Orem; two children: Brooke (Devan) Pope, Orem and Jayce Walker, Salt Lake City; two granddaughters: Kaydance and Quincee Pope; siblings: Vickie (Rod) Patterson, Steven Walker, Jana Bath, and Kelli Carson and mother-in-law Sharon Gatenby. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Bob Gatenby.
Family and friends may attend a viewing Thursday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Interment will be in the Lindon City Cemetery at 12:00 noon on Friday.
