Obituary

Chris Kendall Vance Sr. passed away August 28, 2021 at the age of 63 with his family and friends surrounding him. He was Born December 12, 1957, to Terrell HenryVance and Joyce Rae Swenson Vance in Murray Utah. He was the 4th child of 6 children, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He grew up in Murray Utah. He graduated from Murray high school. Chris Met Sally and became part of her family, where he took on 3 new children (Ella) (Rex) and (Daisy) as his very own, Never did he treat them any differently than his own. Before he met his wife Sally he had a daughter (Jamie) of his own , She was such a joy to him although he didn’t get to see her much. Later Chris and Sally Had one child between them ( Chris Kendall Vance Jr. aka Bubba) Chris Loved All his children heart and soul. Then one of his step kids made him a very young grandpa and you would never know she wasn't his own blood but that's not what matters, he was a fun grandpa that acted like one of the kids at times.

Chris Loved the out doors he water skied a lot at rock port reservoir, he loved going boating fishing, hunting, and camping and riding horses with his family. He took care of all the animals and especially the horses, he made sure they got all the grass clippings. He spoiled the animals as much as he spoiled his kids. He was one of the hardest workers and wanted to help anybody when ever he could. He worked at BMT (Brown Minneapolis tank)building tanks for many years then he went on to work at Utah pacific bridge and steel for the last 24 years and taught all the young ones how to weld, he was very good at what he did. In addition to his job he had a job at home taking care of his 3 grandchildren and his wife sally and house hold things. He would attend all the girls school functions even if it was meant for a mom, he played many rolls, Grandpa, father, mother, husband friend. What ever any of them needed he made sure he got it for them. Always willing to lend a helping hand or two to anyone who needed him . He had a heart of gold .

Chris is preceded in death by his Parents Terrell and Joyce Vance His brother Henry and His Daughter Jamie And his twin Great Grand daughters Ellie May and Emma June Anderson.

He is survived by His Wife Sally B. Vance, his four children and spouses Ella (Vince) Lung, Rex (Darsi) Powell, Daisy Powell, Chris (Ashlee) Vance. Grand children Ashley (Bryson) Anderson, Taylor and Olivia Lung, Cherokee, Lakota and Iraquois Vance, Saige Powell, Lexus and Oaklee Vance. Great Grand Children- Isabella Lung, Chloe and Everett. Sister’s Cheryl, Terry, Shelly , brother Bryan Vance and Step Brother Jeff Selmos.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the home of Chris Sr. & Sally. For more information please contact Ella at 801-787-1749
