Claylon Anthony Gee

February 12, 1976 ~ March 6, 2022 (age 46)

Claylon Anthony Gee (Yes, spelled with an L) passed away on March 6, 2022, after a quick and strong battle with the “man-flu” (a.k.a. cancer). He left this life surrounded by those who love him.

Clay was born on February 12, 1976, to Anthony and Carolyn Gee in Pocatello, Idaho. He eventually escaped the land of the spud and cashed in all his luck to find his perfect (and very patient) eternal companion in Ogden, Utah. He then left this land of “paradise” – or the Dirty O as he would call it – to fulfill all his life’s dreams in “Happy Valley”, Utah.

Some would say that Clay was an electrician, but for those who knew him best, work was just an obligatory side-effect to building life-long friendships and paying for the many hobbies, activities, and “useful” Amazon items he couldn’t live without. When he wasn’t mastering the art of electrical awesomeness (and even when he was), Clay could be found deep in conversation (or heated debate) trying to convince others that he had all the answers to the political turmoil and societal issues of our day. When not solving all of life’s problems, he was busy spending time in the outdoors with his wife, kids, and many family members and friends. Although it took him FOREVER to pack for and travel to any destination, you could guarantee that you were going to have an amazing trip if Clay was involved. He was honestly the glue that bonded relationships across generations, and he consistently sustained those he loves.

Clay was undoubtedly welcomed into the next chapter of his life by his mother, Carolyn, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ken and Joy Clegg.

He forged a 46-year trail of laughter, generosity, compassion, and wisdom. He now watches over his beautiful wife and eternal companion Tina, his children Tyson (Kenzie), Madalyn, Xander, and his granddaughter Hazel. He is also survived by his father Anthony (JenaVee) and loving siblings Tanra Hill, David, Daniel, Cami (Ben) Reece, and Aaron (Kaime) as well as siblings-in-law Steve (Elicia) Clegg, Brent (Camilla) Clegg, and Branden (Chelsie) Clegg along with many nieces and nephews.

“Clay, we may have waited on you for countless hours before every trip, but now you must wait on us. We love you and look forward to the day when we are once again united.”
