Colby Gregory Sheriff

October 20, 1987 ~ July 31, 2022 (age 34)

Obituary

Colby Gregory Sheriff, the most kind-hearted, amazing husband, father, son, brother, and grandson, left this earth on July 31, 2022.  Colby was born October 20, 1987 to Corinne Davis and Gregory Sheriff.  He was the oldest of three children.

On April 23, 2007 he met the love of his life, Jessica Harris and exactly one year later on April 23, 2008 they were married at the North Hampton House in American Fork, Utah.  He knew she was the one for him and he loved her deeply until the day he died.  He devoted his whole life to his wife and children.  Colby was a quiet man but left a huge impact on everyone he met.  He loved the outdoors and he and Jessica would go duck hunting every weekend. He was always the happiest when he was at the cabin with a goose call in his hand.

Along with his wife, his two children, Owen and Starlee, were his pride and joy.  He would take them fishing with him and support them in anything or any sport they wanted to try.  His latest hobby was taking Jujitsu with them.

He worked as a Tinner for C&C Mechanical for 15 years and loved every second of it.  Especially working alongside his uncle Shawn also known as “Uncle Shag.”

Colby was the kindest person and would do anything and everything for anyone who asked or even if they didn’t ask.  If he saw something that needed to be done, he did it. One word to describe Colby is “Selfless”.

He is survived by his wife and two children.  His mother, Corinne (Bruce) Davis, father, Greg (Erika) Sheriff.  His siblings: Shalee Davis and Colton (Cate) Sheriff.  His stepsiblings: Brenan Davis, Cody Davis, Taylor Davis, Chandler Davis, Janeca Akina and Brandon Willet. He is also survived by fathers in law and mothers in law: Joseph Warnick, Jeanette Warnick, Kevin Harris and Jill Harris. Brothers and sisters in law, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa Campbell, his nana Sally Sheriff and his “Good Ol Dog” Hagen.  Oh, the duck hunting that is going on in Heaven.  As Colby would want you to know and as Chris Ledoux would say, “Just Enjoy Your Ride”.
