Craig Child, 66, left us on August 20, 2021 after spending a day doing some of his favorite things. He passed away in his home in Lindon, Utah.
Craig was born in Downey, California to Richard and Lee Child on January 6, 1955. He graduated from La Mirada High and attended Brigham Young University where he met and married his wife of 45 years, Corinne Child. He later completed a master’s degree at Redlands University. He worked for Honeywell for most of his career before retiring recently. Craig and Cori raised their four children in Chino, California before moving to Lindon, Utah in 2014.
Craig enjoyed studying family history and serving in the temple. He was up for any adventure and would greet each day with a smile then clasp his hands and ask "What's the plan for today?" One of his favorite things in life was a long road trip where there was unlimited time to talk, listen to his favorite music and munch on candy and fountain drinks. He accepted all invitations and loved new experiences. He valued quality time with his family and he made sure they all knew how much they were loved.
Craig began slowly losing his sight around 2012 but that did not slow him down. He went on to enjoy modified adventures with the National Ability Center in Park City. He skied in the winter and in the summer, he rode an adapted bike along the provo river trail. He took the train to Salt Lake to attend classes at the blind center. Craig loved learning and he continued to learn new things all through his life.
Funeral services will be held August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lindon Utah West Stake building located at 250 West 600 South, Lindon UT.
