Daniel Arthur Thomson

June 15, 1978 ~ August 26, 2020 (age 42)

Obituary

Daniel Arthur Thomson was born June 15, 1978 in Peru. He passed away, peacefully, on August 26 2021.  He is survived by his wife Emily, children Elijah (21), Kolby (20),(significant other, Ryah Allred) Peyton (18) and Hendrix (13). Parents

W. Alan, Dahrl and siblings Carlos, Jessica (Jordan Inouye) and niece Keiko.

Daniel was adopted from Peru at the age of 2 ½ (along with his siblings) and was raised in Provo, Utah. As he would say, he had won the lottery by being raised in America. He married Emily on June 22, 2000. Together they had and raised three beautiful children. Emily got to share in raising Dan and Rachel’s (Ozuna) son Elijah. The three of them co parented exceptionally well and had a great relationship. Dan was dedicated to being the best dad he could be. He spent all of his time and energy making amazing memories with his children. He was always open and honest and didn’t hide who he was.

Dan loved a great restaurant. He loved prime rib, but it was never up to his standards. Something was always wrong with it such as not enough horseradish. He also loved lobster and wanted everyone to experience fine dining with him. He would always say , “I like what I like” and never wanted to try anything new.

Dan was very athletic and amazing at everything he tried. He loved snow skiing and spending time in Lake Powell. He was the most gorgeous skier and proud of it. Anytime you were out in nature with him doing the things he loved, you knew you were going to have a great time and be with the best sherpa around. Dan had the best smile and laugh. You couldn’t help but smile and laugh with him. He was a very generous, loving and genuine person. He always told so many stories that you know he had lived an eventful and enjoyable life. He lived more in 43 years than most do in a lifetime.

Dan wanted everyone to experience life the way he experienced it. Which was full of fun, excitement and so many laughs. There was no one like him. He defines the term, “one of a kind”.
