Grant Bernell Penrod, 95, of Pleasant Grove passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020. Grant was born April 26, 1924 in Provo, Utah to Wilford and Harriett Faussett Penrod. He married Charlotte Fern Muzzell on July 15, 1943. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Grant grew up in Provo and graduated from Lincoln High School. He loved all sports, especially football and enjoyed watching sports his entire life. Grant enjoyed nothing more than working on the family farm. Horses were a big part of his life and he rode in the reenactment of the Pony Express Route. He and Fern enjoyed many years travelling and snowbirding in Arizona with his brothers and family. Grant ran the Huber Grater in the construction of many of the golf courses in Utah County. He worked at Geneva Steel for 42 years as a crane operator and helped to build the plant.
He is survived by his seven children: Donna Dixon, Linda (Lee) Champion, LaRae Larson, Darrell (Pepper) Penrod, Kelly (Denise) Penrod, Barry (Julie) Penrod, Nicky (Ron) Pace and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
