Gregory Alan Hullinger (72) of Pleasant Grove, Utah. Passed away on March 3rd, 2020 due to health complications.
He was born to Jay and Luana Hullinger of Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was the oldest of seven children: Dennis (Marietta), Judy (James), Gordon (Ann), Steve (Becky), Bruce (Sherri), and Terree (Bruce). He was preceded in death by his mother Luana and sister Judy.
He is survived by his four children and twelve grandchildren: Damon (spouse: Annie, children: Kandus, Lucy and Deacon), Andi (spouse: Jason, children: Payton, Charlie, Emily, Mckay, and Harry); Brook (children: Amie, Ellie); Adam (spouse: Ashley, Children: Noah, Zoe).
Greg graduated from Pleasant Grove High school in 1966. He served in the Western States LDS Mission. He married LuJean Cunico-Weber of Orem, Utah in 1971 and they later divorced. Greg began working as a metallurgist with Geneva Steel, and later went back to school and graduated from BYU with a Masters degree as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. He worked and retired from the Utah State Hospital as a Recreational Therapist.
Greg was always very active and loved sports and nature. He loved gardening, his yard was a testimony of that. He loved the water. He was on the BYU diving team in college and later turned his love of water to river rafting with his family and friends. He had many talents from jewelry making to spinning his own bowls and vases. Greg’s gourmet cooking will surely be missed by all those who had a chance to partake. Greg loved sharing his dutch oven cooking skills while camping in the Uintas with his extended family and photographing his memories.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mount Mahogany Stake Center located at: 1548 N 900 W, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing that morning from 9:00 -10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
