In the early morning hours of Wednesday June 10, 2020, JoAnne Whitehead Brady, loving wife and devoted mother, passed away in her sleep at the age of 87.
JoAnne married her high school sweetheart, LaRoss Brady, on December 21, 1951 in the Manti Temple. Together they created an inspiring story of enduring love and devotion. They loved to go camping where he would fly fish and she would sketch the scenery. Until the very end, even though her memory was fading, her love for her husband was constantly reflected in the way she looked at him. Where one was, you would find the other.
She was a woman of many talents, expressing her creativity as an artist, poet, composer and singer. She chose to use her talents as a way of showing her love for others in her many church callings. She created a home filled with peace, love, and the joyous sound of her laughter. Love and light defined JoAnne's life. Her family and friends can attest to that. There is nothing more than the love she had for her family. She spent countless hours going to sporting events with her sons and helping her children with music lessons. She was the center of the family, the beating heart that kept the family together, the warm hearth where we all longed to be. Her love of the Savior and her example of selflessness will always be treasured memories. Her love and light will continue to shine. She was, in a word, wonderful.
She is survived by her husband, LaRoss Brady, her brother Richard Whitehead, her two daughters and their husbands Christine and Bruce Frazier, Sharron and Jay Taylor; and her three sons and their wives Curtis and Mary Margaret Brady, Joel and Luz Helena Brady, David and Rashelle Brady, and many grand and great grandchildren.
