Judith "Judy" Ann Gordon, 75, of Pleasant Grove passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah after less than a day of being admitted. She had an intestinal blockage which affected multiple organs and caused sepsis. She was surrounded by love from dear friends and her youngest daughter, who held her in her last moments.
Judy (as she preferred to be called) was sealed to David Kent Gordon in the Mount Timpanogos temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on, May 2, 1997 and spent many happy years together while residing in beautiful Pleasant Grove, UT. Judy leaves behind three daughters, Charlotte Marie Allred, Kathleen Nicole Larsen and Heidi Charleen Yost, fathered by Harold Layton Yost. Judy has eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren with another one the way shortly.
She was born August 5, 1944 to Georganne Nelson-Jutz and Harry Jutz in Los Angeles, CA. She and her brother, Robert Nelson Jutz grew up in Los Angeles. She had a blessed childhood and fondly remembered her parents love.
Judy attended Los Angeles High School then Los Angeles College and became a dental hygienist. She had a variety of other careers such as a bus driver for UTA and volunteered her time to aid in the training and transport of seeing eye dogs and rescuing any cat in need. Judy enjoyed many things in life and had a knack for music, crochet and just about any other project she found interesting. She played piano, violin, flute for an orchestra in California and cello for BYU. She was a foster mother to numerous children both before and after her own children were born. Judy had the intelligence and resiliency to do what she wanted, whether it be career, hobby or just for her entertainment.
She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a visitation from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. prior to the services. Please enter through the doors on the north side of the building to the rear of the parking lot. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
