Kelly Lyn Cullimore, whose lifelong struggle with Prader-Willi served as an inspiration to all who knew her, died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Utah Valley Hospital. She was born on St Patrick's Day (March 17) 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the second child born to Barbara Vander Kooi Cullimore and Dennis Cullimore. Kelly was raised in Orem. She graduated from Mountain View High School and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Seminary.
Kelly was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She loved children, especially her nieces and nephews, jigsaw puzzles, movies, word search puzzles, and making crafts. Kelly was a Special Olympic athlete. She participated in bowling and track events.
Kelly will be greatly missed by her parents, Dennis and Kathy Cullimore, her sisters Shauna (Dan) Hill and Brittney (Kirk) Jensen, and her brothers Bart (Rebecca) Cullimore, Brady (Elizabeth) Cullimore, and Derek (Melinda) Cullimore. She was an awesome aunt to 18 nieces and nephews. Kelly is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara, and her grandparents, Richard and June Cullimore, Wilford and Neta Vander Kooi, and Melvin and Juanita Clark.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23rd at 11:00 am at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45 am. Interment will be at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah.
