Maria Carolina Felippe “Bisa” was a nurturing and generous mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday,May 5, 2021.
Maria Carolina followed her beloved family from her homeland in Brazil to enjoy life in Utah, Wisconsin, and Texas. Maria Carolina worked hard alone to provide for her family and loved her children. She cooked and baked dreamy meals and was always sharing a Facebook recipe or two with family. Maria Carolina was a Mahjong, Candy Crush and soap opera fanatic—many nights were spent playing card games with her family, too. Carolina also enjoyed crocheting exquisite doilies and table runners for her loved ones even when her hands were aged and sore. Most days were spent creating dishes and desserts, working on crochet projects, and wearing her slippers outside while watering her precious plants and flowers that she loved so much. We could call her a plant whisperer.
She gave of herself to all those around her. Her most favorite recent pastime was sneaking treats to her great grandchildren in little baggies while no one was looking. Though the great grandchildren really enjoyed the sugary goodness Bisa had to offer, they cared deeply for her and still ask for “Bisa” when they see her empty chair in the living room corner.
Maria Carolina now lives in heaven and is reunited with her two children (Walter and Wanilza), a sister Teresa (Nena), and her parents (Antonia and Jose Felippe). Her other two daughters (Val and Valeria), her grandchildren and posterity, her dear sister (Dinha), and all her relatives look forward to seeing Maria Carolina again. Maria Carolina was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
