Rachel Lillian McKinnon Hardman, 86, of Lindon passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2020 at her home. Rachel was born April 7, 1934 in Salt Lake City to Ray and Lilian Olsen McKinnon. She married George Alma Hardman on July 26, 1956 in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Rachel grew up in Salt Lake City until the family moved to Moroni when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Moroni High School in 1952. She later attended Brigham Young University and received her degree in Education. Rachel was a third and fourth grade teacher as a young woman. She and George made their home in Lindon where they raised their six children. Rachel was an accomplished homemaker and loved cooking, sewing, and crafts. She enjoyed nothing more than camping with her family. Rachel was devoted and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings.
She is survived by her six children: Robin Crowell, Leasa Hardman, Karry (Tonya) Hardman, Stephen Hardman, Shawn Hardman, Michelle (Richard) Moore; ten grandchildren and many loving great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George and her parents, Ray and Lilian.
