Radawn Hansen Brown, our selfless mother, fun-loving grandmother, loyal daughter, thoughtful sister, and friend to all, passed away on September 24th, 2021 just days after her 65th birthday. We are deeply saddened that sudden sickness took her way too soon.  Radawn was vibrant, full of life, and as her dad would say, “better than perfect”.

She was born in Provo, Utah on September 21st, 1956, the oldest of five daughters to Don J Hansen and Raelene Hunger Hansen. As a daughter of a musical father, Radawn and her sisters lived in a home full of singing, laughter, and dancing around in matching nightgowns sewn by their sweet mother.

During her marriage to Jerry Brown she was blessed with her four most precious gifts: her children. Radawn was the ultimate mom. She taught her children and their friends many important life lessons, including the proper way to toilet paper someone’s house and hide from the cops! Her faithfulness as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the core of who she was. Radawn lived her life as a disciple of Christ. She emulated selflessness, truly loved everyone, and led by example. She had a way of making people feel loved and special. Within minutes, complete strangers became her best friends; Radawn was easy to love.

Radawn was looking forward to being sealed for eternity to her soul mate, Terry Baird. They adored one another, Terry called her “my queen” and treated her as one. Together they enjoyed staying up late watching movies, ordering take out sushi, and going all-out decorating for the holidays.

Radawn enjoyed spending time in the kitchen making more than enough Radawn-sized portions of food for everyone. She felt most alive barefoot by her flowers, feeling the earth between her toes. She loved thunderstorms, and never missed the opportunity to dance in the rain. Radawn filled her days selflessly giving her time for those around her, always willing to drop everything for someone in need.

Radawn’s legacy will be cherished and carried on by her children, grandchildren, and all the lives she touched. She is survived by her mother Raelene, her sisters Diane (Barry), Rachelle (Charlie), Christine (James), Lynette (Alan), her children Jason (Nichole), Scott (Mckenna), Becky (Brandon) Madsen, Taylor (Emily), and her 16 grandchildren—her whole world. She was welcomed into heaven by her sweet father, Don J Hansen.

An evening viewing will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Lindon Stake Center, 56 East 600 North, Lindon. A celebration of Radawn’s life will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:00 am also at the Lindon Stake Center Chapel. Family and friends are welcome to attend a viewing from 9:00 -10:30 am prior to the service. Interment will be at the Lehi City Cemetery where she will be buried next to her father.
