Obituary

Rodney Joseph Haddock was born October 6, 1944 to Albert Joseph Haddock and Vivian Hansen Haddock in Cedar City, Utah. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shortly after the age of accountability and was faithful until the end. He enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Vietnam as a door gunner for the 101st Airborne. Upon his return home, he married his sweetheart, Patricia Gale Peters, the love of his life in the Los Angeles Temple.

Rod enjoyed his career as a police officer for the Costa Mesa Police Department where he was loved and respected by his colleagues and fellow officers. He enjoyed spending time with his family hunting, fishing, tinkering with classic cars and watching his grandchildren play.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, five children and their loving spouses: Todd Haddock, Wendy Morgan, Benjamin Haddock, Heidi Roberson, and Karey Romney, 17 grandchildren, his mother and two brothers: He was preceded in death by his father.
