Skov Jensen returned to his heavenly home Monday, March 22, 2021 in Provo, Utah, at the age of 95. He was born August 20, 1925, in Give, Denmark to Jens Bertel and Agnes Katrine Jensen. He married Grethe Nielsen April 18, 1948 in Copenhagen, Denmark. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1958 and they were sealed for all eternity in 1960 in the Swiss Temple.
Skov was the 4th child of 14 children in his family. He became a blacksmith like his father. He served his country after World War II. He was sent to Germany with the occupational forces during the Winter of 1947-48 in the second engineering Battalion where a lot of their work was bridge building and repairs.
In 1957 Skov was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left him blind in one eye and tunnel vision in the other eye and deaf in one ear.
In 1962 they immigrated to the United States, starting off in California and then ending up in Utah where he spent the rest of his life.
In 2002 Skov and Grethe were given the opportunity to serve a mission and return to Denmark for 18 months. This was Skov's first time back since he left.
Skov spent much of his time in the service of others. He served as counselor in a branch presidency, High Priest quorum secretary, counselor in the Sunday school presidency, usher for Sacrament meetings, and his last calling being a primary teacher.
He was a Jack of all trades, and there was nothing that he could not do, (even with his vision disabilities) remodeling, woodwork, iron work, car repair, plumbing, electrical, construction work, gardening, baking, etc, and he was always willing to help family and friends with his skills.
He spent most of his occupation as a church custodian and apartment manager in Provo.
Skov is survived by his sons and daughter. Jens Jensen, Poul Jensen, Gert Jensen, Maria (Kyle) Warnick, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and a sister Anne Jensen. Preceded in death by wife Grethe, his parents and 12 siblings.
